Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

Taylor joined the firm in 2009 and in 2021 was promoted to executive vice president and chief financial officer. His areas of specialization include outsourced risk management, international property and liability, contract surety, and business insurance coverage placement.  In addition to advising clients, Taylor’s responsibilities include the planning and implementation of all financial activities, long-range strategic planning, and talent development for the company.

Taylor earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Bowling Green State University in 2008.  He earned the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation in 2010 and his Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation in 2011.  Taylor earned his Master of Business Administration from the University of Akron in 2014.

Taylor’s leadership extends to the community, where he serves on the board of the United Way of Greater Stark County and co-chaired the 2022 United Way annual campaign. He also serves on the board of directors for the Ohio Contractors Association (Akron/Canton chapter), the Early Childhood Resource Center, Stark County Mental Health and Addiction Recovery, and Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio. Taylor is a past board member of the Builders Exchange and past president of TWi and the Surety Association of Ohio.  He is a 2014 recipient of the ystark! Twenty under 40! award.  Taylor is married with two children.

Taylor Schauer is a longtime supporter of The Early Childhood Resource Center

The Early Childhood Resource Center offers a wide-variety of programs focused on child development. These programs provide direct services not only to the children, but also to the parents and professionals in our community that work with children.

The organization’s mission is to promote the healthy development of young children by strengthening families, improving quality of early learning experiences, increasing school readiness, and informing public policy.

Taylor has served on the board of the Early Childhood Resource Center for six years and was recently named board chair. He also serves as a team member on the new Strategic Planning committee.
